website has been created about the famous area of Mullanpur-Sudhar in
district Ludhiana of Punjab. The great villages like Boparai Kalan,
Sudhar, Raqba, Pandori, Dhatt, Hissowal, Budhel and Ghuman are situated
in this area. Most of us went to GHG Khalsa College Sudhar for studies
and fun. Huge number of families from these villages live abroad, all
over the world. So we will try to collect and publish here the
information that may be of interest to all of you.

5th
annual cricket tournament organised by village youth concluded on June
6, 2013 with the final match between Boparai Kalan and Purain village
teams. Purain team emerged victorious and we congratutale all the
players of Purain and our village cricket team. About 10 cricket teams
from our area took part in this tournament. Guggly was declared best
batsman and Seera Boparai adjusted best bowler. S. Inderjit Singh Deol
distributed prizes to teams along with Gurpreet Singh Kala Panch,
Charanjit Singh Block Samiti member, Mohinder Singh Deol, Bhupinder
Deol, Gurdeep Sokhal, Manjot Singh, Gurminder Star, Hardeep Deol, Jassa

Award Distribution Function at Govt. Sr. Sec. School
An award
distribution was held on May 23, 2013 to appreciate the good students
for last year. The students who were excellent in studies were awarded appreciation prizes by Sarpanch S. Inderjit Singh, Principal Smt Jasvir Kaur and S. Sarabjit Singh (President
PTA). This year 10+2 result of the school is 100% in science, commerce
and arts stream. Lovepreet Kaur d/o S. Nirmal Singh got 78% marks
in scince group. On this occasion following were present: S.
Makhan Singh, Master Daljit Singh, S. Gurpreet Singh member, S. Ajaib
singh, S. Devinder Dhillon, S. Manjinder Singh (Lucky) panch, block

Block Samiti Election - Boparai Kalan Zone
Elections for block
samities and zila prashids were held on May 19 and results were out on
May 21. Our village was clubbed with Dhatt to elect a representative.
In the end of counting, S. Charanjit Singh was declared winner by 365
votes. He led by 226 votes in Boparai Kalan and 139 in Dhatt. After the
win he thanked god and all the voters and supporters.
Toronto Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan
Vaisakhi
Nagar Kirtan from Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Malton to Gurdwara
Rexdale was held on May 5th, Sunday. The weather was very nice and more
than one lakh people came out to attend the nagar kirtan. Like previous
years, we put up a langar stall close to Purba Furniture location on
Finch road. Many families from our & adjoining villages came to
food stall with their langar contributions. Children, elders and ladies
also participated in seva very enthusiastically. Different types
of free food were enjoyed by people from various communities and sangat
attending nagar kirtan. We are extremely thankful to all the families
who participated in seva and let their kids to gain valuable social

Horse Race - Boparai Kalan
A
horse race competition was held at Boparai Kalan under the guidance of
Baba Bahadur Singh of Budha Dal with the help of villagers. About 35
horses took part in the contest and Ist prize was won by horse of Happy
Doburji followed by Harjinder Sohian (2nd), Mani Bargari (3rd),
Manjinder Pakhowal (4th) and Sandeep Boparai (5th). Baba Bahadur Singh distributed the prizes to the winners. For more photos PLEASE CLICK HERE
